Culture, tradition, and strong roots are never erased from her music. However, she recorded her first EP in English less than ten years ago, likely influenced by the multicultural environment she experienced after leaving her hometown of Haifa. Her debut album, Desert (2021), is also sung in English. The recording was made during the time Rasha moved to Berlin, where she still resides. While fulfilling her dreams and performing at major European festivals, including Sziget and Glastonbury, she began preparing for a return to her roots.
This return, however, was more mental than physical. As Rasha Nahas herself explains, for her second album, Amrat (امرات), The duality between urban and rural landscapes is reflected in the sentiment of the Arabic-sung tracks. Rasha recorded with respected Palestinian musicians from the indie scene in a studio located in the occupied Golan Heights. After a sold-out tour in Germany, Rasha extended her journey across Europe, including Sweden and the UK as well as SWANA. In 2025, she will also perform at Colours of Ostrava.
